Not sure if this is old news or not but Yahoo have changed MyBlogLog so you know have to use your Yahoo ID to sign in. Maybe so Yahoo can keep data better, maybe so people can link through to all of Yahoo’s other services maybe both!
Well it seems the web is going to consist of 3 logins soon, MSN Passport, Yahoo ID and a Google account…

Google have recently implemented Google Gears in with Google Reader which is brilliant for someone in my situation. Google Gears now allows you to view your last 2000 items (that’s a lot of reading material) from Gooogle Reader offline.
The reason I say it’s great for me because I have recently have moved home and BT seem reluctent in turning my phone line on so this is a big helpfor me to stay in the know

Netbenefit, a hosting company seems to of caused major problems with the search engines for all (if not a lot!) of it’s customers due to them hijacking their own clients sites.
Basically… this is very bad! What happens is that each site on Netbenefits servers have been duplicated and the search engines have been picking up the duplicates and ignoring the actual site, and throwing links at it won’t help because of the way the server is set up
My main thought is will Netbenefits sort this out or will they loose a fair chunk of their clients when they realise what has happened?
Thanks to Peter (a great guy :)) for pointing out the Netbenefit hosting problems to me and DaveN has written up a more in-depth look into the hosting problems

Rupert Murdoch is currently in talks with Dow Jones and Co Newspaper for $5 billion dollars. Since Murdoch announced a price other investors including Google have taken an interest in the Newspaper firm. Source
Now why would Google be wanting to buy a Newspaper firm? Google’s an online marketing source, not offline…yet. Google have been playing around with a real life version of an Adwords platform in various newspapers over the last couple of years, so Google owning there own newspaper really would put a huge spin on things. What will happen to the special treatment that Google gives to the NY Times? What will happen to Google News? Will that get printed to the paper? I think not because of copyright laws but I kinda want Google to win to see what they do, but at the same time it scares me.

For all those UK users out there that use the Google personalised home page, Google themes are now available
they all look a bit tacky but I’m sure they will be used

Looks like Apple have bought Google and have rebranded, lol. I mean seriously, is this logo a pun with Apple?

The day after noticing MSN ‘predicting search’ for ‘the Apprentice BBC’. MSN carry it on to a new day about ‘Cricket World Cup’. This is probably going to end up being really annoying
