Google have recently implemented Google Gears in with Google Reader which is brilliant for someone in my situation. Google Gears now allows you to view your last 2000 items (that’s a lot of reading material) from Gooogle Reader offline.
The reason I say it’s great for me because I have recently have moved home and BT seem reluctent in turning my phone line on so this is a big helpfor me to stay in the know

Netbenefit, a hosting company seems to of caused major problems with the search engines for all (if not a lot!) of it’s customers due to them hijacking their own clients sites.
Basically… this is very bad! What happens is that each site on Netbenefits servers have been duplicated and the search engines have been picking up the duplicates and ignoring the actual site, and throwing links at it won’t help because of the way the server is set up
My main thought is will Netbenefits sort this out or will they loose a fair chunk of their clients when they realise what has happened?
Thanks to Peter (a great guy :)) for pointing out the Netbenefit hosting problems to me and DaveN has written up a more in-depth look into the hosting problems

Rand over at SEOmoz has posted a good article detailing the use and the importance of being able to search supplemental pages of a site. It is one of the most annoying things having to go through 16,000 pages trying to find supplemental results then finding out why there supplemental (throwing links at a page doesn’t always help).
Rand mentions that the query to see just supplemental results from a site isn’t working (the ’site:yoursite.com *** -asdf’ search), well I’ve tried it on a few things and it works fine for me and if it ever does stop working, highlight the ‘asdf’ part (don’t touch that minus!) and do the keyboard mash so you end up with something like ’site:yoursite.com *** -fjiafaijf’ works just as well.
The main reason for this post is because I can’t comment on your site Rand! When I click reply it just highlights the button, very annoying, so hopefully this trackback will let you know
